Matching of Maintenance Personnel to the Air Base and the Feeling of Stress During the Aircraft Maintenance Process

Efficiency and focus on achieving results (flight hours) are key challenges faced by airbases personnel . The modern approach to flight safety indicates that its level is shaped not only by the technical condition of the aircraft, but also by organizational conditions and factors that determine the efficiency of staff work and the quality of their activities. The human factor, which is extremely important in the database structures, is becoming increasingly important. The aim of the article is to identify and describe the adaptation of the aircraft maintenance personnel to the organizational environment of the training air base and the stress experienced during the performance of tasks related to the operation of aviation equipment. The analysis focuses on organizational and regulatory fit, as well as their importance for the functioning of aircraft mainte-nance personnel under conditions of high responsibility, formalized procedures, and increased safety require-ments. Subjective experiences of maintenance personnel were identified in the context of their work in the airbase environment and the tasks they perform. The results of the study indicate a relatively high level of adaptation of maintenance personnel to the operating environment of the air base. This is evidenced, among other things, a high level of compliance with applicable procedures and guidelines, a positive assessment of the use of professional competencies, and a generally favorable assessment of the training system improving personnel qualifications. At the same time, the vast majority of respondents declared that they did not expe-rience excessive stress while performing duties related to aircraft maintenance. These results suggest that appropriate adaptation of personnel competencies, organizational, and regulatory frameworks to the specific work environment helps maintain a relatively low level of occupational stress.
