Abstract

The study focused on selected factors destabilizing European security in the light of Rus-sia’s military actions in Ukraine, including: dilemmas of European security in the aspect of military operations in Ukraine, activities of European countries for the security of Europe, refugees and migra-tions, and challenges for the security of Europe. Looking for an answer to the following question: What impact do Russia’s military actions in Ukraine have on European security?, the author quoted official statements of experts in the media and the views of the authors on the security of countries in this area. The analysis presented the directions of action to improve the security of these countries. The results of the conducted research indicate that Europe and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization are currently not fully prepared to defend member states against Russian aggression. Therefore, Europe must start to speak with one voice and, as a community, take responsibility for the fate and security of Europe and the world. The content mentioned in the speech is intended to update opinions on the level of European security. It is also an overview on the problem based on the studied literature on the subject, as well as an attempt to encourage representatives of science conducting research on this issue to discuss and re-flect on it in order to outline a vision of the future.
