Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The journal includes original research and reviews, polemics and reports from scientific conferences.

The article should be 20,000 to 40,000 characters long (without abstract and references); longer articles may be included with the prior approval of the Editorial Board; review up to 15,000 characters; report up to 10,000 characters.

The submitted article should include:

  • information about the author - name of the university/ unit and department/ institute, ORCID number (Open Researcher and Contributor ID), e-mail,
  • title of the article,
  • abstract - from 1,000 to 1,500 characters; should synthetically indicate the goals, hypotheses, methods of analysis and main conclusions,
  • 5 keywords,
  • text should be divided into parts: introduction, proper text (with unnumbered subsections), conclusions,
  • references, containing only items used in the article, in accordance with the Chicago format - De_Securitate_Instruction Chicago style
  • Funding details. Please supply all details required by your funding and grant-awarding bodies as follows: This work was supported by the [Funding Agency] under Grant [number xxxx].
  • note about the author (academic degree / title, position and place of work, professional experience, scientific interests, the most important publications; up to 150 words).

Technical requirements:

  • 12 point font (Times New Roman); line spacing 1.3; justified text; standard margins - 2.5 cm,
  • headings should be in bold, with an initial capital letter for any proper nouns.
  • automatically numbered footnotes; TNR font;10 points; line spacing 1; justified text; when referring to internet sources, the date of access should be provided in brackets (04.11.2015); please remove hyperlinks; we use Latin abbreviations: op.cit., vide, ibidem (ibid.), idem, eadem, eidem, passim,
  • DOI links, if available, should be included in reference list,
  • Cyrillic references should be transliterated. First, write the reference in the transliterated version, then [in square brackets] in the original version. For transliteration, use the website: https://www.ushuaia.pl/transliterate (transliteration option: Russian BGN-PCGN),
  • citations should begin and end with quotation marks (not in italics), and their source should be indicated in a footnote,
  • tables, diagrams, figures, graphs (only in shades of gray) should be sequentially numbered and properly named, it is necessary to indicate their source.

A publication malpractice statement must be sent with the article.

Articles that are not formatted in accordance with the above requirements will not be considered by the Editorial Team.

All submitted articles are reviewed according to the double-blind peer review process described on the journal’s website

Privacy Statement

According to the Article 13 (1, 2) of the General Data Protection Regulation from 27th, April 2016, we inform that:

  1. Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities represented by The Rector, with headquarters: 2, St. Konarski street, 08-110 Siedlce, is the administrator of your data;

  3. Your personal data will be processed to complete the process of publishing the publication of which you are the author or co-author. For this purpose we will process your contact data;
  4. Given data will be processed according to the Article 6 (1) of the General Data Protection Regulation (Dz.U. UE L119 z 4.05.2016);
  5. Providing personal data is voluntary, however, necessary to realize the goals for which they were taken;
  6. The data will not be made available to external entities, except by virtue of provisions laid down by law;
  7. The data will be kept for the necessary time to realize the afore-mentioned purposes;
  8. You will have the right to access your data and, in accordance with the law: the right to correct the data, to remove them, to limit their processing, to transfer the data, the right to raise objections and the right to withdraw the agreement at any time;
  9. You have the right to lodge a complaint to the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych);
  10. Your data will be processed automatically and will not be used for profiling purposes
