Abstract

The aim of the study is to analyze the functioning of task groups within the structures of the State Fire Service and to present the basic specialist activities carried out under the National Fire and Rescue System. On the other hand, the research problem was expressed in the form of the following question: How is the State Fire Service prepared for the implementation of specialized rescue operations? The article presents a division into the scope of basic and specialized rescue activities, such as technical rescue, high-altitude rescue, chemical and ecological rescue, search and rescue and water and diving rescue. The functioning of these rescue groups, which were created on the basis of the need to eliminate specific threats within separate areas of rescue, was analyzed.
