The article analyzes the impact of the war in Ukraine on NATO’s maritime security policy in the Baltic Sea basin. The main objectives include assessing the political and military consequences of the naval conflict and identifying key challenges for the Alliance. The hypothesis assumes that the naval war in Ukraine significantly affects NATO’s activities, forcing the strengthening of the military presence and the development of a new naval strategy. The research is based on the analysis of literature, documents and a case study of the Black Sea Fleet. The conclusions indicate that the conflict highlights the need to invest in modern technologies, including unmanned systems, and the need to revise NATO’s defence strat-egy. It is crucial to develop the ability to control sea routes and protect critical infrastructure, especially in the context of Sweden and Finland's accession to the Alliance. International cooperation and a modern maritime strategy are essential to maintain stability in the region.
