Curriculum development in Slovakia

Abstract

This article provides information about the two‐level model of curriculum development within the school system of the Slovak Republic. This involves the State and the School Curriculum. Both curricula are briefly characterised here. Further attention is given to school principals who serve as important links responsible for the development and quality of the curriculum of a specific school.
