Safety of the civil society in emergency situations is one of the most important challenges for Polish authorities. Presently, Polish legislature lacks in clear and consistent regulations regarding the protection of the disabled in times of crisis. Therefore, there is a need to start interdisciplinary discussion to establish procedures and functional mechanisms to protect people with special needs in case of emergency.
