REVIEW PROCEDURE and print admission
- The article must fulfills the editorial requirements specified by the editorial office.
- Each article is subject to the admission procedure for external review:
- Thematic editors determine the substantive value of the article by giving recommendations to the editor-in-chief.
- The editor-in-chief, assessing the usefulness and adequacy of an article with the DOCTRINA profile, decides to submit it for external review.
- In the case of articles in foreign languages (English, Russian), the recommendation is made by the language editor prior to the external review.
- In the case of language errors in Polish articles, the editor of the Polish language makes the correction and suggestion for corrections.
- If the article contains processed statistical data, it is submitted for evaluation by the statistical editor in order to verify the correctness of the research (statistical) methodology.
- After taking into account the language corrections, the article is forwarded to two reviewers from the list.
- Reviewers fill in the open and secret parts of the review form on the website in accordance with the guidelines contained therein. Articles approved by the thematic editor will be submitted for review by two independent reviewers, while maintaining the anonymity of the author and reviewers (double-blind review process). In the case of articles written in a congress language, at least one of the reviewers will be affiliated with a foreign institution other than the author's nationality. Reviews are made in writing, ending with an unambiguous application of the reviewers, whether or not the article is approved for publication. The article is not approved for publication in the case of one or two negative reviews. Reviews are archived by the Publisher. The list of cooperating reviewers is provided in the printed version of the journal and on the journal's website.

In addition, the author fills in and signs the "Author's declaration" (also available on the website of the UPH publishing house - https://www.uph.edu.pl/pracownica/druki-firmowe/dokumenty-wydawnictwa) and sends its scan together with the article.

(protection against ghostwriting)
"Ghostwriting" - a reprehensible phenomenon that occurs when someone has made a significant contribution to the creation of a publication without disclosing their participation as one of the authors or without mentioning their role in the acknowledgments contained in the publication.
"Guest authorship" ("honorary authorship") - a reprehensible phenomenon that occurs when the author's participation is negligible or not at all, and yet he is the author or co-author of the publication.
In order to counteract cases of "ghostwriting", "guest authorship" the editorial board of the journal follows the principle that in the case of the humanities and social sciences the author of the article should be one person, therefore it prefers to publish articles with one and only one declared author. However, in the case of research articles, it is possible to publish a publication after the authors present a detailed list of contributions to individual stages of publication (the editorial office reserves the right to evaluate the list of authors' cooperation and, if necessary, not to accept explanations without giving a reason). The author submitting the article for publication is primarily responsible. Declaration.
