Philosophical Aspects of the Fourth Industrial Revolution – A Critical Approach

Abstract

In today’s world, we are witnessing a rapid technological development, commonly referred to as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, or Industry 4.0. The author draws attention to the philosophical problems associated with this phenomenon – such as the concept of transhumanism, the relationship between human beings and artificial intelligence, and issues related to the “digital society” – and concludes by formulating reflections for philosophers concerning the need for further critical research.
