Abstract

The article presents the results of surveys conducted after the 2023 parliamentary elections in Poland among young people studying in Elbląg. The focus was on ideological issues and their connection with electoral preferences. The relations-hips between such ideological issues as liberalization of abortion law, introduction of civil partnerships, the separation of church and state, introduction of death penalty and the selected political group participating in the elections to the Sejm in 2023 were determined. On the basis of statistical indicators, the existence of relationships between the perception of these issues and the characteristics of respondents (age, gender, place of residence, social status) was studied. The research was inspired by a very high participation of young people in the elections, which was significantly higher compared to the previous period and influenced, which translated into the final election result.
