Abstrakt

The article deals with the problems of chosen concepts of security which have occurred over the centuries. The author of the article raises an issue concerning: the value of security in philosophy and ethics throughout history, peace and freedom as universal categories of security, the concepts of security and its value in relation to Christian ideas in homilies of John Paul II and the contemporary concept of security. The presented concepts of security in philosophy and ethics emphasize the exceptional value of peace and security. The state of international, personal and structural security depends on how countries will care of common security.
