The work explores indications of reluctance to submit to tyranny in the literature of the 1960s, focusing on the works of authors Dominik Tatarka, Rudolf Sloboda, and Ján Johanides. The study builds on the research of Joseph Caroll, who argues that readers can indirectly participate in egalitarian social dynamics through literature. The objective of the work is to observe how the rebellion against the aesthetics of socialist realism is depicted in these works (whether explicitly or implicitly), and to determine if the conclusions align with those of the mentioned literary scholar.
