Lithuanian press about relations with Moscow in the period from October 1939 to mid-June 1940 (annexation of Lithuania by the USSR)

The period between October 1939 and June 1940 was a critical time in Europe. Conflicts taking place in various regions led to the occupation of some countries and strengthened of the power of the aggressors. The article presents an outline of the topics that were published in three popular Lithuanian magazines of the interwar period. At the same time, the article also attempts to answer the question whether the fact of having a direct border with the Soviet Union since September 17, 1939 influenced the quality and frequency of Soviet topics in the Lithuanian press.
