Abstrakt

The article deals with such little-researched aspect of Ivan Bunin’s body of works as his treatment of old age in women, viewed in progress. The Nobel Prize winner’s attitude to old age in general and to old age in women in particular changed noticeably from his earliest short stories through the latest stage of his work when the writer himself had to cope with the problem of waning, diseases, and limitations intrinsic to senior age.
