Abstract

The author of the article believes that Jan Amos Comenius considered learning and education particularly important and associated them with the spiritual and religious side of man. This sacred reality, unavailable to sensory cognition, is re-presented in his texts through allegorical and symbolic images, leading the reader to-wards some ultimate fullness, where the realization of man's ultimate purpose and destiny is made possible.
