The aim of the analysis of the views of John Amos Comenius was to search for references to the idea of inclusion implemented in the contemporary concept of education. It allowed to establish that Comenius' merit is instilling the idea of including all students in the education system, regardless of their deficits or disabilities. It is from this concept that the genesis of the concept of inclusive education implemented today in the Polish education system can be derived. It should be noted, however, that Comenius's reflection does not touch on the issues of the child's educational needs and individualization of teaching. Consi-dering his views in relation to inclusion can only be justified in the plane of intuition.
