Aims and scope

History and the World is published yearly by the Institute of History of University of Siedlce. The journal was founded in 2012 by a group of scientific employees of the Institute of History. It is an interdisciplinary journal, integrating historians, art historians, archaeologists and ethnologists who are interested in the history of civilization. The History and the World publishes articles, source publications, reviews, polemics and other forms of scientific expression concerning history of Poland and universal history from antiquity to modern times. The journal welcomes submissions in all fields of the social sciences and historical and cultural studies, and seeks to stimulate social debate on current issues. The History and the World being designed as an international journal, contributions in the standard conference languages will be accepted (English, French, German, Russian and Italian). The volumes are divided into two main parts: Acta Militaria Iranica and Acta Historica. The first part is devoted to research on warfare in antiquity and the history of the Near East. The second part is devoted to general history (especially of Central and Eastern Europe).
