Benefits and risks in the production of biogas

Abstrakt

Production and use of biogas for energy purposes is one of the most efficient methods for generating renewable energy and is becoming more widely implemented in Poland. Following the example of neighbouring western countries, agricultural biogas production plants are being built in Poland because of the high potential for using biomass in the country. Biomass is composed of plant- or animalderived products which undergo biodegradation. Biogas production techniques and accurate, effective and ecological management of biogas production plants require very advanced knowledge.
