The article concerns the motif and symbolism of the pig in the Polish Aesopian fable. Analysis of the research material revealed that this animal constitutes a multiple point of reference for individual authors in the context of describing social, political, and spiritual reality. The research proves that the title character is accompanied by centuries-old associations and stereotypes that are reflected in many texts throughout history.
