A special role in this process are playing the concepts of homeland and little homeland, as well as expressed attitudes. These concepts form a sense of belonging to the place and community, with their history, culture, language, customs, rituals, values, communication habits, etc. With regard to the expressed attitudes, two of them are of significant importance – nationalistic and patriotic. Many theories have been developed around them and their understanding is often associated with multithreading and difficulties in interpretation and classification. Especially important is that these attitudes should be based on mutual respect, tolerance and acceptance, mostly towards other nations, no matter these attitudes were called. Only attitudes based on mutual respect, tolerance and acceptance can ensure security and freedom in future. Therefore, it is important to teach the proper understanding of them in the process of education with its upbringing aspect. This teaching can prevent antagonism towards other nations, societies, or cultures.</p> ER -
